RATNESH KASHYAP

Ratnesh, son of a highly decorated IPS officer was born in 1945. After obtaining a degree in Science from Maharaja College Jaipur, Ratnesh completed his Engineering degree from MNIT, Allahabad in the year 1968. He is now a Fellow of Institute of Engineers (FIE), equivalent of doctorate in Electrical Engineering. He later obtained a diploma in Development Finance from Tokyo, Japan. An active sportsman in his youth, he played Cricket and table tennis for Universities of Rajasthan and Allahabad and represented states of Rajasthan and UP in Table Tennis.


Starting his career with Birlas at their Hindalco unit as Management Trainee, he moved back to Rajasthan in 1973 to join Rajasthan Industrial and Mineral Development Corporation (RIMDC), now known as RIICO. He took volunteer retirement while serving as General manager in 1990 and joined a large textile group as COO and Joint Managing Director, having 3 Mills and a manpower of 3500 employees. In 1997, He set up his own business of Exports. By the year 2000, it became one of the fastest growing Companies of Rajasthan. In 2013-14, Ratnesh was elected as the Chairman of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Rajasthan. Currently, He represents business and industry fraternity at a number of forums in and outside Rajasthan. Ratnesh also runs a professional Consulting Company, specialising in Acquisitions & Mergers and in international contracts.
